Planning to go to Tilshead Lodge meet on 9th. Just wondering if people know what the terrain is like over that way, as hunting for the first time and want to make sure I'm prepared for it. I'd rather decide I'm not and pull out than get out there and be out of my depth.

Be very carefull of rabbit holes. It is very very cold and windy! I've been there a few times and it was very quiet hunting. a lot of hanging about and about two short canters! But it can be better sometimes I've heard...

I hunted with the RA (as a PC member) for about 10 years. Its very open land, quite undulating with a chalk base. Watch out for tank tracks/slippery chalk tracks/rabbit holes.....not an enourmous amount of natual hazard jumping but when I was a kid there were plenty of hunt jumps about.
