Hi all

I have just found out I will be moving to Abu Dhabi for six months and wondering if anyone knows if there is anywhere to ride out there?

There was a thread about someone moving to Dubai on here yesterday, and a few people who commented had lived over there and ridden. Have a root back.

Abu Dhabi equestrian centre.
in dubai you have:
dubai polo club
jebel Ali equestrian centre
dubai club

Sharjah equestrian centre is a possibility depending on where I dubai you live

Hi, I to and fro as OH is based there. I ride at the Royal Stables when I'm there. Lovely instructors and well cared for happy horses and lovely premises. I had one lesson at the Equestrian centre and it was horrible. There is also Al Forsan which has great facilities but getting through to anyone who knows anything is a challenge.
Royal Stables would be your best bet I think in Abu dhabi. I think you can loan horses from them too.
The stables will close down early June because of the heat but if you are going soon you should be able to ride for most of the time you are there.

What are you going to be doing there? PM me if there is anything else I can help with :)

My brother lives in Abu Dhabi, and I second the Royal Stables. It's beautiful, horses are lovely, and the staff are really friendly and helpful.

Never been to Abu Dabi but my friend supplies Royal Stables with their horses and ponies. I know a number of horses and ponies that they have there x

I can find out if you like my niece lives in Dubai, she has no interest in horses but I am sure she can ask around for you. She does go to the races there though and loves it.

The Dubai Polo & Equestrian Club by the Arabian Ranches is amazing - you can take their polo ponies out into the desert and just gallop for miles and still see nothing but sand. Horses are lovely and just a different class to what you would tend to get on a riding school hack in the UK. They also do lessons and livery, although I've never actually had a lesson there. And there's polo - you can learn to play but it's also fun to just go to the matches.
