Anyone in Lincoln who fancies pony shopping...

I'm very far away from Lincoln but have seen a horse I quite like.

Am not one for risk taking, so looking at my options! Don't really fancy a 8hr drive to go see a horse I may not like, then an 8hr drive to potentially go pick up after vetting..

In particular, seller doesn't seem to have any stood up shots of the horse or videos longer than 10 seconds

Is this a service I could pay for? For someone to go see if it has 4 legs and a head, take some decent vids and pics. Wouldn't expect anyone to ride it (though I suppose that could be a bonus).

It's worth Googling the phone number on the ad as that will give you an idea if they are a dealer or not (if you haven't already done that!). When I was last looking I identified a dealer who was advertising as a private seller that way, the phone number was linked to 18 other horse sale ads in the previous year.

I would ask for stood up photos all round, video of it trotting in hand on a hard surface and on the lunge. Then the vetting does the rest.

If they wont oblige with videos or photos then I’d move on to the next one.

Can't help re Lincoln but we drove 4.5hrs to see a horse for my daughter, thankfully he was amazing so we only had to do the trip twice, once to view and once to collect. We got a local vet to do the vetting.

Prior to him we'd been on several 3-4hr drives to view unsuitable horses so annoying! All of them were not as described which would have saved us a trip!
