I think Badger has scared my mum today after being stuck in the stable for his supposed "illness" - i.e. 24 hr man flu!!

So - I just thought it was worth a shot!! I don't see it as advertising as no money involved!!

So - anyone in Sheffield/Barnsley area, Quality 16.3 ISH, great to hack out but not a plod. Do what you want with him PLEASE!! The boy needs exercise!! Op for fun stuff for right rider..

Oh please could you move down to Wiltshire so i can ride him, he looks yummy!!

I've just retired my chap and i'm missing getting ready for the comp season.

Guess i'll have to save some pennies and look for a new friend!

Hope you find someone, he looks too good not to be doing anything!

Sorry - don't think I made that very clear in my post - I'd had lots of wine at the time!! I do ride him but i can't ride him in the week because of work so I need someone to help me really, I can do more in the summer but I'm pretty stuck in winter - particularly as we don't have a school.

A girl rides him every Tuesday and my mum leads him out from one of the other horses/rides him about 3 times a week. But I'm worried she won't want to ride him now after he's been naughty with her. Hopefully she'll come round - I'm sure it was just a one off.

It just seems a shame because I'm sure there's someone who'd really enjoy riding him... maybe I should think about paying someone??

Wine on a weekday!

Do you finish work really late? Could you not come to an arrangement to finish a little early one or more days if you went in earlier maybe?

Is there nowhere you could box him up and take him to in the evenings?

Does he need to be ridden more?

What facilities do you have?

gosh lots of questions!!! I am cutting down a bit - but Thursday is almost the weekend!

I don't finish work really late - but the problem is I work in Derby, live in Sheffield and my horse lives in Barnsley, so even if I finished at 4 it would be at least 6 before I got there, which is no good for winter, but something I can do in the summer. I can box up and go to a friends but would need mum or dad to take me, and it all seems like a big, drawn out process when it's just for the sake of exercise...

We have big fat 0 facilities..

We can cope TBH and now he'll be having a break soon and then it will be the lovely summer time!!

But winter is a struggle particularly for my mum.

Thanks for your idea's and help, I sometimes think about moving him to a yard nearer me but it would cost me loads more money and transport etc. would be an issue... plus I don't think I'd look after him as well as my mum!

Not very good with geography but guess that means you aren't particularly close to him either from work or from home?

Hmm.... are all your fields flooded or very muddy? You could maybe get a flood light up in one part and if the ground isn't too bad you could most likely lunge if not do a little bit of schooling on a circle?
