I posted a few weeks ago about my horse mysteriously moving fields in the night - he definitely didn't escape or jump out, he'd have had to go over an iron gate and a hedge, and he isn't the type! I also found my headcollar out in the field with another one of my horses. Anyway, was worried about it but thought it was probably someone messing around. But with all these stolen/suspicious sightings posts I'm still worried about it now! Has anyone else had anything strange like this happen recently?

Sorry, probably going to get lots of abuse now for scaremongering!!

Anyway, I'm in NOrth Devon and in my area I'm happy to report I've heard nothing of any dodgy goings on

There was a text sent around our villages saying be careful for two men in a white van that looked v suspect and had been looking at horses. Im based in devon. It does seem to be going around a bit!!I take it you found your horse?!!
 
Yes it does seem to be doing the rounds, although this happened before all the hype started really so I suppose that's what's got me worried now! Good to know that none of you lot have had anything suspicious or know of anything suspicious though - apart from your fencer neigh, what a pain in the bum!
 
Friend in Kent has had similar happen to her twice.

One pony out of a herd of 20 found wandering around the village in the middle of the night with rope round his neck. He's virtually incapable of jumping out unlike some of the others she has, though front gate still locked in the morning and no evidence of trashed fencing. He'd have had to have gone over a post and rail and barbed wire, and is an elderly pony. How did he get out? No one knows

And last year another of her mares was found in an adjoining farmers field. She has a woodland between her and the farmers field, all fenced in. As the mare is a coloured, she's worried that someone tried to pinch her, and the mare took fright and went over the two fences.

Nothing else happened afterwards.

She thinks someone is trying to do midnight rides.... though person who lives in the house opposite hasn't seen or heard a thing - all VERY strange.
