Hi Paddy-wac, I'm looking to start doing some properly this year (only done odd rides before). There was going to be one at Bramshill this weekend but it's been postponed due to weather. There is one on Chobham Common in february then I think Tilford in March. Have a look on this website:

Contact anyone on the south east committee, they will be very happy to help you, lovely friendly bunch. Get the details for Tilford, lovely ride through woody areas & over the common. One year I got to chase soldiers carrying tree trunks! They didn't seem impressed as my girl cantered gently past them.......

Where in Surrey are you.
The Mid South Group are running some training rides in the New Forest called "The Silver Gambler Rides" they will also have some from Tilford,
The First ride is on the 19th Feb at Stoney Cross the venue is 10 minutes off the M27 J1
The second one is on March 19th again at Stoney Cross this one will have a mock vetting.
The "Silver Gambler Rides" are a series of rides with a Championship at the end of the season.
They are really good rides and we are all very friendly.

I plan on being at both the Chobham Training Ride on 20th Feb and Tilford in early March. Hope you two can make one or both of these lovely rides too. If either of you are going and need any advice, feel free to PM me, or of course e-mail Pauline as she has already suggested. And with luck, we may just get the chance to say hello on the day!
