Anyone in the dartmoor ish area???

Iv had my mare for about 4 months now and shes lovely, I want to get her out and about this summer because she was just a trekking horse before I had her going round and round following the one in front...getting extremely bored I imagine. Because of this she gets very excited when we are out alone and meet another horse/wild horses etc. So I want to get her out and socialise/get used to going to different places and just have a bit of fun! Anyone got any ideas or know of anything? Apart from local shows (shes had little schooling so wont be showing her and never jumped before) Just looking for fun things no pressure to get her out and about really

Have you thought about doing Trec? Have a look on www.trecsouthwest.com for local events. They are always very relaxed and welcoming. An ex-trekking horse sounds perfect for Trec - often won by hairy cobs.
