I'm up in Morpeth.

Loving the snow and it looks like I'm going to be off work for the forseeable :)

How are you all coping? Anyone else from this neck of the woods? And where was this lightening?! I must of slept through it.

Farmer has had to pull two cars out of our hedges, I've slid into the hedge, and our neighbours have abandoned their car at the end of the drive and stuck bricks under the wheels. How exciting

Now off to muck out 10 horses....yipee!!

Yep, am near Hexham and we must have a good foot - I work north of Morpeth though, luckily work has been closed since Friday.... just wondering if our evil headteacher will claw back the time from our holidays though!

I am in Ulgham Kaylouise67 so we have plenty too!!!

I can see the clouds rolling in from the coast and they are very dark - it was lovely a moment ago with blus sky and sun!!

My 4x4 died 2 weeks ago and I cannot get to one of mine - relying on the goodwill of the others to keep an eye on him! The other two are on full livery elswhere so they are ok thankgoodness!

Im outside Edinburgh, plenty of snow here! I'm snowed in, not been able to get to the yard yesterday or today as its up in the hills! Lucky the yo lives there so is feeding Bally for me, seemingly she is having a ball in the snow!

I'm Gateshead and there's plenty of snow and ice too, the boy is on livery in Sunniside so he'll be fine if I can't get to see him - the taps on the yard all froze yesterday :(

Sadly still going into work as the A1 is mostly clear...

im in gateshead, the roads here are pretty clear, mine are at a livery yard in marley hill and are happily munching a round bale in the field :), had no issues getting up to the yard as the road had been gritted and YO had scraped the driveway

I'm just north of Morpeth and I wouldn't dare drive out in my car. Luckily I have a Daihatsu Fourtrak which I've got for towing the trailer so I've been going up to the yard in that. If you saw the BBC news on thursday you will have seen me being interviewed in Longhorsley! I was on the lunchtime, 6 o'clock and 10 o'clock news!
It's over a foot deep in my garden.

This is my horses field this morning. I spent three hours there this morning - digging out snow, taking water to the trough with the quad and taking hay to the field. I'm knackered and of course I'll be returning this afternoon for more!

A lot of my friends are school teachers and all but one have had the day off! Wonder how long it will last?!

I'm in northumberland as well and i'm hoping the snow gets worse so i can be snowed in at home and won't have to go back to uni this week :D

Rachiie - this is no excuse!! My OH is a mature student and he walked to the bus stop this morning to get in :D

BD - I'm just south of Morpeth, little hamlet called Glororum. The 4x4's are managing to get through (almost) but any cars I have seen are being pulled by 4x4's and tractors!! we've got about 14 inches here in some places, my car is well and truly stuck on the drive!

Luckily, horses are about 20 metres away so can easily get to them, all ours are in, happily munching in their hayledge

I know where Glororum is, it's near Tranwell. I'm at Longhorsley, where all the BBC weather reports are coming from at the moment. I think the camera crew are staying at Linden Hall for the week. I'm just about to go out and help saw some branches down in my garden as they have crushed my fence with the weight of the snow.
It looks fantastic but I hope it doesn't last long, I don't think I'll be going into work tomorrow.

Very random, but were you going to the Sunniside christmas ball? I was really looking forward to it until it was cancelled due to the snow :(

I wish work would send me to somewhere like Linden Hall for a week! Yes, it's the next little place along from Tranwell. Glororum is essentially 'Glororum Farm' and we live in it. The farmer owns a lot of Tranwell.
Sawing branches!! Have fun...hopefully you've got a wood burner to stick it all in afterwards ;)
