Anyone insure with animal friends?

my veteran is insured with them. not had any issues - they were helpful when i phoned about claiming and paid out quickly (so quickly that I didn't realise they had :redface3:)

I dont have either of my horses insured through them (but only because I had already only just changed over to Kbis when I found them) but as I continued to look for competitive insurance for my cat I came across them and have him insured with them. I will be looking into insuring the horses through them too.

I have just insured Kasper (my new horse) with them after a recommendation from a friend. Havent had to claim thus far so cant comment on that part of it. Was happy with the price and package too.

I have insurance with them for my horse, fortunately have not had to claim. I also use them for my dogs, we lost one of them last year and they paid out really quickly with no squabbling - just ensure you have adequate cover selected for what you want to be covered

I have my horse and dog insured with them after hearing good things about them. After doing a quite they were cheaper than what I was paying for the same cover. So happy so far, but haven't had to claim yet fortunately. After reading these comments I'm glad I'm with them x

Had a dog insured with them, the highest policy you could have. Very helpful and polite until I had a claim. Refused 1st claim, were rude, and very unprofessional. Was snapped at on phone and told to put a 2nd claim in ( which take 8weeks to review) 3months later they paid up. Have not bothered re insuring and would never recommend after my experience.

I don't know about the horse insurance, but most small animal vets will not do direct claims with animal friends as they can be a nightmare to claim from.

My dog is insured with them. I had to claim when he was poisoned and they were fine, I paid the excess and the vets did the rest directly.

I was dealing with the vets for a friends boy who got injured when she was on holiday and the vets face dropped when I said she was insured with them. They informed her she would have to pay the bill and then claim it back off them, so not happy to deal directly with them.
I wouldn't insure with them now as I think the vets deal with insurance companies on a daily basis and they must have a reason not to want to deal with them.

Certainly mixed reports. I wonder which the vets would recommend?! I am currently with SEIS, who were quite tricky to pay up for the death of my old mare.

I had my first horse insured with them and they were great. He died 10 months after having him (equine grass sickness) and they have paid up large vets bill and full value of horse with no questions. Dealt very sensitively with a sobbing me on the end of the phone. My two dogs are with them, again no prob and vets happy to deal direct with them. Oh and now have my second horse insured with them too ;-) I find them v competitive price wise.
