anyone know about teeth, trying to work out how old?

there is a pony on our yard. owner says it is 4yo. it has on the top 4 teeth and a small half a tooth . on the bottom it has 4 teeth and a tooth just breaking throught the gum.
do you think this pony is younger?

It could be 4 years old. Some horses dont get all their teeth until they are 4 but I think all should be present by the time they are 6. We had a 4 year old here last year who was cutting her teeth still. We werent sure if she had a problem but she didnt they were just quite late coming through. BTW We are absolutely sure of her age!

(I cant find my book on teeth at the mo but I read it last year as I was concerned and it was not abnormal. I cant remember the exact ages for all teeth though!)
