I am trying to trace the parents of my horse. I have been told he is welsh x arab (he does look like a pba!) and I bought him in Rhydycroesau, Oswestry. Does anybody know of any stallions that may be standing near there, could be either welsh or arab? I have no idea about his breeding and I really want to be able to register him as a pba but can't if I have no proof of parentage.

would be very grateful of anyone who has any suggestions!

Thanks!

Try Whirlwind Horses on here, she has several stallions including an Anglo Arab, an appaloosa too.
TBH, there are lots of that type around there but she is one of the better known and might be able to help you.

interesting....

how old is your gelding? I do know of an arab that was in the area (pretty sure it was around there...) and well, i am not saying on an open forum but it certainly wouldnt suprise me if there are some of his stock out there that were not registered due to the fact he wasnt meant to be covering...
(i do know who his actual owner is though so IF it could be him, i am happy to pass your details on to her)

any chance of you also posting a photo of him?

hes 7/8, black with a white star, and white socks on both hind legs, hes about 15hh, hes got quite a fine head and legs, so you can definitely see the arab in him but hes chunkier than an anglo...

I don't know how to upload photos (i just had an argument with my computer trying to do it!)

if anyone can tell me how to do that i will upload it straight away!
thanks for your help!

jessD you need to go to photobucket.com and upload them there, then once uploaded you need to go to the bottom of you album and select the choose option drop down, then generate codes the bottom option. it will them give you a box with the codes in you want the IMG codes, should be the middle box, either choose the full size or thumbnails (smaller pictures) you just copy and then paste them into your reply.

it sounds complicated but actually isnt too bad, best of luck :)

looking forward to seeing you pictures !
