I have moved my 5yr old to a new yard and he has gone from a total quiet placid chap to a real handful. I know its a big change and it will take time but I could do with someone experienced to help me out, espec getting him ridden as I am struggling so much with my nerves. I have only had him 6 weeks and have now moved him to a bigger yard with better facilities and I know its not ideal to have moved him twice in a short space of time... He was such a lovely kind and chilled chap and was really building my confidence and now he is a monster. There is no way I could ride him at the mo, my nerves wont take it. Can anyone recommend someone that would come out and sort him out and help me for a little while? I would be happy to pay someone... Especially someone that could come and ride him? They must be experienced as I think he might be a real handful to ride, and preferably classically seat trained as that is how I have been working with him. I am in North Herts, between Hitchin and Stevenage. He is on Magnesium to try and calm his nerves and I am just keeping to routine as per old yard. I dont think it helps that he cannot see another horse when he is in (although they are all around him) but I cant do anything about this. If anyone has someone they can recommend I would be most grateful... The only people I know are places that he could go to which obviously wont solve the problem!
