I know it may be too far for you but there is the Penbode Veterinary Practice which is based in Bude/Holsworthy area (North Cornwall/North Devon). They have an equine hospital.
Just a long shot I know.

Have you found a vet yet? Try Western Counties, Mullacott, might know of a couple more if there no good!
