To cut a long story short 2 of my 4 horses have low grade chronic colitis. I am sure it has been caused by the soaked alfalfa feed (made by a small company - not any of the main brands) that the 2 with the problem were being fed on (the other 2 that are fine were on something different). I may have been soaking it for too long causing it to go off although it looked and smelled ok and the horses ate it. I would like to send a sample of the feed to someone for it to be tested but have done a google search and can't find anything. Has anyone got any ideas who I could approach? I doubt if another feed company would do it as it wouldn't look good for them to be testing competitor feeds for potential problems.
