I’m not sure what you mean by calcium. If that’s calcinosis cutis or similar with calcium deposits affecting the skin then see your usual vet and ask them for a referral to a dermatology specialist, a multi discipline specialist centre would be a good idea as they would likely have small animal surgery specialists also

Hello Redders.Yes its the one you say,hes still a very young JR hes coming up three year in May this year,my vet is a lady but she does not now a lot of this problem, the problem is betweens is nails on is left front foot,he had this when he was 12 month old and the lady removed the calcium then, she did a bilogy sent it to Nottingham and came back with no cancer and all was clear of any problems,he is in good condition at the moment but we want to get some help if so before it gets worth, hes due to to see the local vet this Thursday for blood tests.

I would discuss with your vet getting referred to a specialist for input on the case. General Practice vets (while excellent) can’t possibly have in-depth knowledge of every condition, and calcinosis cutis isn’t very common. Your vet is right with doing blood tests. Have a chat with them about a dermatology referral going forward
