Anyone live at Flaxton, York?

Ebor Vale RDA group are doing a long distance ride/drive around the groups in the area and are in need of somewhere to put up two ponies on the night of Friday 30th July. We will be coming from Castle Howard and going on to Stamford Bridge and would ideally like to have somewhere at or neat Flaxton to stop. Stable/field/barn or fold yard would be ideal.

The ponies are doing about 170 miles in the week and we are only the one night short.

Can I suggest you get in touch with Rideaway? They are very close to Flaxton and know the area, there may be something on their notice board that would help you. If you ask nicely I'd have thought one of the staff would have a look for you.

Am of no help, but there's a great pub in Flaxton called the Blacksmiths Arms which is also a B&B if you start looking for human accomodation - had dinner there last week
