Anyone live in Herefordshire?

Looked at a lovely place the other day, sort of near Bromyard and Hereford. Seemed very rural with good bridleways. Does anyone live there who could give me the pros and cons? Thanks!
 
Its a lovely part of the world. I'm in nearby rural shropshire. pros are very good bridleways and views rural riding. there are good hunts and some equestrian centres with competitions. there are good fun rides and x country courses and point to points. i can tthink of any cons except its a long way to anywhere but that i see as an advantage. its like stepping back in time.
 
Oh thank you! I looked at a couple of places in Shropshire too and that also seemed nice but the countryside seemed quirkier, more Welsh I guess- whereas the Herefordshire countryside seemed more open and traditional shires that I am used to. I am meant to be looking at a place in Devon which was 'plan a' but I just keep thinking about the Herefordshire house.
 
oh do tell us more. You are right about herefordshire being more Shire like. I am on the Shropshire Herefordshire Powys border.I feel very blessed at having such variety on the doorstep.Arable.grassland.hills.flat.meandering rivers.moorland too. I love it here.
 
Ok you have sold it to me! Everyone seems to say nice things about this area. I have found somewhere with 13 acres and planning for stables plus a nice house in a very rural location. It is far enough awaY from home for a fresh start which I need, but also near enough that my friends might visit! Thank for your help :-)
