Just seen they have released the name of the farm in Amersham, just wondering if anyone is local or knows where it is? Might shed some light why the case got so far.
I am about a mile away. We never even knew the place existed as is up a very narrow lane that people tend to use just for access - never been up there and have lived in the area for 27 years!
The guy has other fields in the area which we can see and have reported the horses to the police and rspca on numerous occarions, but nothing was done.
I read an account from a local in todays Mail. She said that she had called the RSPCA 3 times last year, but nothing was done. The Mail then quoted "an RSPCA Inspector" as saying that it was the worst case of cruelty he has ever seen, but they didn't see fit the ask why the RSPCA had in this case (just as in so many others) failed to take any action following several reports from the public
I have a friend who lives very close, she did say that it's a rather "out of the way" location. I don't think the RSPCA has any excuse though as to why this wasn't sorted out much earlier if they knew about it, "out of the way" or not!!
