Anyone made a partition to split a stable in half?

Got 2 huge stables build of stone, looking to split one in half to have the 14.2hh on one side and the 11.1hh on the other. Has anyone got good ideas for a partition?

my horses are in a barn which is just sectioned using old gates, with metal posts in the ground, which they are tied to. we then use the gates to hang rugs over to dry.

Breeze block wall to about 4 foot, then I found some old victorian bars set in wood. Just laid the sections on top, and cemented in place. They work a treat, and the horses can see each other.

My dad built my stables.

The partition was solid up to about 4', then 2' of Yorkshire boarding on top of that.

Friends have gates with ply wood attached to each side to stop feet getting caught, seems to work for them

two or four wooden cups screwed/drilled on to the wall on either side of the stable with a wooden fencing pole, two for 1 pole or four for 2 poles, works a treat

Southern Electric were working near my house so I asked the work men if I could have a couple of their plastic barriers, I have split my stable using them, as they are movable I can take them away easily & open the stable up again
