Hi , just finished ' project seesaw ' and want to make myself an A-frame to practise contacts in the garden , has anyone else made one ?, seems marine plywood is the way to go or hollow doors with sure grip paint , any ideas welcome , thanks . :)

yes made a mini one. Each side is a 4 foot by 2foot piece of marine plywood. Underneath I used a frame of approx 2 by 1 planed softwood to give it a strengthening frame round the outside. It also has a piece of the same halfway down on the back just to make it a bit sturdier.

The bits that join it together at the top were like this.

I rounded off the ends at the top to make them safer. Not sure if these are the size I used though.

To finish it I painted it with undercoat and then gloss, While the gloss was wet I sprinkled sand all over it and smoothed it with a long thin piece of wood. Once it was dry painted with another layer of gloss!

before they were painted.
