Just wondering if anyone makes their own horse shampoo or wash?

I make up a wash / rinse for a washing off my sweaty horses by making up a bottle of water with added essential oils like peppermint, eucalyptus and tea tree which I think cools them down nicely!

I do a refreshing wash for after exercise from 2 teaspoons each of lavender, tea tree and peppermint oil plus 2 tablespoons of baby shampoo - must be very mild. Put in a bucket and add about 16 pints of water. Just apply with a large sponge - cleans the sweat off and leaves you with a lovely relaxed and sweet smelling horse. No need to rinse.

Also add eucalyptus instead of peppermint sometimes.

Normally add tea tree and lavender to a cheap shampoo.
