Anyone near Exeter use wood pellets?

Looks like they are a quite a good price per bag but they do look quite dark?

Be sure to check they are made from 100% virgin softwood and not recycled wood as can be the case.

They're £4.20 per 15 kg bag collected, which isn't at all bad. I'm presently using Verdo woodstove pellets in 10kg bags. They were cheap but the bed is very dark and can be quite wet. I use about 4 or 5 bags per week per stable of the Verdo ones, so it works out fairly expensive in the long run. I'd like to find something lighter, fluffier and more absorbent.
