I am visiting family in the Honiton area next month and would like to visit a decently stocked tack shop/saddlery.
I am hoping there are some Somerset/Devon people on here that could suggest somewhere not too far that I could get my last horsey shopping fix before Xmas :-0

Try countrywide at rockbere (it used to be town and country) I keep seeing a sign for a tack place by cullompton services too..i think its called claires tackroom..

Or Redpost Equestrian at Totnes - loads of lovely stuff there, but a few miles on from Honiton, about 3/4 hour or so - they do have a nice new café there though, so you could make a day of it & also you'll be passing Leonard Coombes in Newton Abbot on your way.

There is Wychanger Barton not too far from Honiton. The other one is Unicorn Saddlery up near Taunton which is good.
I love Redpost. I have only been there once to buy my new hat but I had to fight to not get my credit card out and spend a fortune as it was my idea of heaven.
I believe Lindsey Cheffing's has just opened a tackshop near Tiverton. I haven't been there but apparently it is very good.
Countrywide in Rockbere is good but last time I went in there they had hardly anything as they were reducing all their stock ready to get in new stuff for the winter.
Clippersharp is close to Honiton but not sure if they have a shop.

There's also Clare's equestrian, which is just off the motorway junction at Cullompton. I've yet to visit, but I'm told it's a treasure trove of new and second hand tack at very reasonable prices!

Ah you guys are amazing, thank you all for your suggestions! Looks like it might be a rather expensive trip and I love the idea of a tack shop and cafe :-)

A third vote for Redpost here!! It's one of my favourite shops in the area. The cafe is lovely too - home made cakes and nice paninis, jacket potatos etc. You could do a little detour to take in Leonard Coombes in Newton Abbot too.

If you're back anytime soon there is a shop on the alexandra business park in cullompton called claires equestrian which is absolutely fab" if you have anything to get rid of she'l buy it from you also! 5* recommendation for her
