Courtesy of Niamhy....who managed to video my fall!

OUr first hunter trials together & my first time round a novice HT course....most of it was fine - we had two stops (both had drops involved in them - not v good with them) but we jumped all the heavy fences really nicely - the second water fence was fence 15, almost home, but we kinda fell into/over it...(basically I wasn't decisive enough about whether I was trying to pull him up to steady or just riding on...hence when Neddy saw the water on the far side of the roller he got a bit of a shock, pecked, & over we went!)

I know have a very sore bum & a BIG lump on my leg but to be honest it could have been much worse and at least we got that far - same place is on again next Sunday so I'm just gonna treat today as "schooling" (also quite proud of heading off in the singles by myself....and of the collected intakes of breath you hear on this as I fall off!!)

Neddy has a few scrapes on the legs but seems to be all superficial.....

enjoy!

It was quite an impressive fall donchya think!!

The guy before me and the one after also fell at this - but they actually landed in the water which didn't make me feel too bad!

Was a bit unfortunate as you did kind of jump it then stop with Neddy saying 'WHAT... WATER?' lol. Glad you are both pretty much ok and at least you didnt get wet.

It was only his second every xcountry comp (I'm won't call him a youngster because someone will give out to me but he's not 6 until July and I'm pretty crap so reckon we did pretty well to get that far!)

My god, that was some fall, hope you're ok! Never saw you

Some of the fences were quite nasty for novice level, my partner fell at the first fence

May have seen you out on course at some stage when we were walking it
