Hopefully, I need to borrow a trailer so still TBC, but fingers crossed. If so it will be our first hunt on the calmer, so interesting to see how it works there.
We have only been out once with South Notts, (jan last year) and it was much steadier with less jumping than our other few outings with The Readyfields, not sure if that wound her up even more?
We will have a red ribbon on but dont be afraid to come say hello, its there because she bucks and kicks in trot and canter when she's wound up, not when just stood about. Its an excitement thing.
And I have bought a black numnah now and got a skull cap with a black velvet cover, so I won't be wearing my 'horrid showjumper hat' ;P
I hasten to add that neither of the hunts have made me feel unwelcome before for having a purple saddle cloth etc. But then I have always plaited and worn long boots, white jods etc etc.
Nah the S.Notts are always welcoming ) My mare will be wearing a red ribbon too if we go, but only cos she does buck like stink when given the chance, and is only 4 so I don't want anyone worrying her.
Black ones first day on Saturday? I was out on saturday, so realised i must have been out with you. Was following on foot tues, did you swap with david half way? He went past and realised he was on the rather bouncy black horse
Yea twas me yes he did, Lolly went lame so went back to drag poor old Clo out the field for him but he said he would be fine on Cib for an hour while I swapped them for him he he what a way to be introduced to hunting!
Mmmm so are you out often......what horse do you ride.......? lol
Kat yes do...ive lost your number - will be fun
If this is the Wiverton One Kat, I might, if i don't get tomorrow with the Grove and Scruffs (weather dependant, i'm not paying to be soaked and v cold on soggy ground...yup, wimp!)
