Ex owned a few.

They are nice, but they are working dogs and they are terriers...temp wise his were always happy go lucky little characters, within the terrier world they're known as being one of the hardest breeds for terrier work, although I'm sure how you raise the pup would have some baring on its disposition e.t.c

I've got 2! A rough haired (ebony) and a smooth coat (arnie). Arnie can be more agressive, he is a nuttell patterdale which are notorious for being more agressive though, I wouldn't trust him with kids 100% but saying that he is a lovely dog and as long as you dont push him then he is also a softie. Ebony on the other hand is total opposite and is always a total sweetheart, soft as anything and loves cuddles and walkies! She has been man handled by kids of all ages and she loves it, she would never ever growl at you, just wag her tail!

Did have three, now have just the one. Little fuzzy Badger. They are lovely dogs and have all been amazing in the home, especially trusted with kids, cats and other dogs but great care with training (which we found relatively easy) is needed as they tend to be self taught hunters if given the chance and we lost three chickens and a rabbit (she chewed through the wire of the hutch

) to our girl Charlie before we rehomed her as a worker.

I have one and absoultely adore her!!! She is quite high maintenance though, not the easiest to train, does a runner on a regular basis, quite noisy, needs lots of exercise, but she is very lovable and lovely natured, good with kids, only thing she does is jump up a bit which is my own fault!!! She just loves to play!! I did know her mum very well before I got her, have heard some negative points so would be careful about where I got one from! But I love them and would definitely have another! Hope this helps!

We have two and they are just wonderful pets. Fab temperaments as family dogs but also good mouse/ratters.
I sometimes have to get tough with our Rosie as her hearing fails if she gets distracted by a rabbit or pheasant.....she is a natural hunter, but dont want her lost down a hole!!!!!
There have been quite a few Patterdales in rescue centres recently which is sad, probably brought by people that dont understand the needs of these lovely energetic dogs.

Yes... we have 3 and a litter of 9 2 and a half week old pups!!

They are great little terrorists, full of energy but also love their cuddles!!

If you want one as a pet make sure you don't get one that is from purely hard core working lines, as they can be a little sharp!!

Ours are great personalities and great with people and other dogs, they are also very good ratters. i never likes terriers til we got ours and now I'm a complete convert...
Our original two... Gypsy and William

Epupz is great, although it sounds a bit too much like ebay for puupys!!! LOL!! Its not though!!!

We have our litter on there at the mo, and our stud dog.
Its good cos you can serach by region. Only drawback is you can't see the contact details of ads under 7 days old unless you pay for an account. Bear in mind now is a good time of year for buying a pup, so you'll have to be quick, we have got 5 deposits already and ours are only 2 and a bit weeks old!!

There is also a patterdale website

http://patterdaleterrier.redirectme.net/

You can register your interest in litters on there, but not sure how often they update it. As I registered our litter before they were born and I haven't got anything back to confirm it!

I've had one for 14 years - same one - and can wholeheartedly recommend them. Fab temperament and happy disposition. Only ever bit rats, but at 16 is deaf and partially blind. Still full of running though. Lovely dogs.

ETS Mine was a casualty of a divorce - ready trained and an outdoor dog. So a rescue of a sort as she was chained up on a farm.
