Hi just want to find out a bit more about the requisite horse trailers, are they any good? and do any of you tow them with estate cars?

I haven't owned one branded as Requisite, but have owned a Cheval Liberte, which is what Requisites are, just rebranded for Robinsons and more expensive.
I was very happy with my CL, it's lightweight but sturdy and well built, tows great and is very smooth/quiet. Mine had 2t MAM, so easily towable with a smaller 4x4 or an estate car. I personally used Nissan X-Trail 2.2l to tow it, without any problems.

ditto that and we used exactly the same vehicle to tow it with lol

My friend has one and is kind enough to let me borrow it. It is a dream to tow, but have only towed it using an Isuzu Trooper, I imagine with one horse on you might do it with an estate car. My own trailer is a Rice and you can really tell the difference!

I have a requisite, its great, lightweight and sturdy, my OH tows for me with a Mazda Bongo, we only tow one pony at a time though, due to the towing capabilities of the van with a 14.2 & 13.2hh we would be right on the limit of the vans upper limit, so we err on the side of caution.

I have one and think it's brill.

We tow ours with a mitsubishi shogun sport.

I would never tow even a lightweight trailer with a car, you need to know you can get up a hill / out of a muddy show field / brake in an emergency etc.

Also I think legally the car is supposed to be able to tow the full capacity of the trailer which is aroung 3t for my trailer I think - most estate cars towing weight is less.

thank you all for your help. i currently have an ifor williams 505 and tow with a shogan and just seems complete over kill for my 14hh pony. want to downsize to lighter trailer and smaller car. correct me if i'm wrong but am i right in thinking the 200c model is only 600kg? my pony weighs roughly 400kg. so total weight roughly 1000kg.
