If you have would you mind letting me know how much the whole thing came out at.... just reasoning if i should have my lad done now or possibly in 6 to 8 weeks time, and possibly the finances may have some bearing on the decision.

thanks in advance - and pm's more than welcome if you dont wish to post on the board

Vet - would like an MRI done BUT i do not have the chap insured.. by the time all of the exclusions had taken affect he was insured for his right ear and the bottom half of his tail... seamed a bit excessive to pay £68 quid a month for that.......

So because i am not insured - very nice vet man has said lets wait and see for 6 to 8 weeks and then i really will push for one.... BUT i am the least patience person known to man kind and i am wondering if i should just do it?

That's a difficult one then. Some times Doctor Green is the best solution, if you have the time and patience (HUM) or find a place you could put him on grass livery for awhile. Even if you did a MRI Scan would that make him any less lame?????:confused:

Mine was covered by insurance who paid 50% but total before my payment was around £1050. Includes sedation which is necessary.

MRI is only a good scientific diagnostic tool! treatments for the cause dont usually vary much. rest, mother nature, and good diet, and very good farrier ,and foot balance. good luck but an mri wont make it sound!
