It's the central University of London club (as I'm going to be studying at one of the research institutes, rather than a true university as such).

Thanks guys, so far not as expensive as I thought it would be :)

Do they have their own club or are they part of ULU?

I played with ULU for 5 yrs!! Its around £50 i think for beginners - can't remember if its £45 for beginners & £55 for novice or £50 for beginners & £60 for novice.

Not all London unis are with the University of London, so you can still practice with ULU, but you won't be able to compete for them if your uni isn't affiliated to ULU!!

Thanks.

I know how the ULU works having studied with them before & I can assure you my institute's part of UoL, given my working base will be above their central offices ;)

I played at uni at Cambridge. It was actually the cheapest club, despite assumptions otherwise, as it is the only club to own it's own ponies (they currently have 11, although it was only 7 when I was there), so you don't pay for pony hire. True fact :p

It's really good fun. There's a guy in Cheshire too who does polo lessons (he intructs liverpool uni also I believe) called James Fielding. His lessons are affordable and really good so if any of you are up north, he's well worth a visit. This is the website:

I played with RHUL - we were separate to the ULU team which made it interesting when SUPA put us against them at tournaments! A few years ago now but we paid £30/lesson.

Yeah I chose the riding club over the polo when I was at RHUL :) Wish I hadn't really :)
