Hi guys - anyone off to Poplar Park this weekend?

I am on Sat - both my sections start @ 8am and Spider is a few in so will be early start me thinks!!!

And I hope it still runs with all this weather, but then the ground at Poplar is very good - fingers crossed

We are there on Sun, one early and one late. Think I shall be leaving home before 5am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our PC DC (whose daughter events at advanced) says Pop park will run, she was right last week that Isleham would run and Stliemans cancel, when I asked her last Mon. She is usually right about most things. (And is a friend of the BE secretary!)
 
Excellent!!

I think we will be leaving before 5am on sat too!! Oh well!!

I prefer that I think - we should be back at a decent time! Will be my first event at running two so I think I will be sleeping all the way home!!

Wish I could sleep in the lorry, I'm driving.
Bee slept to Isleham and home again. Only took Willough and we were back home just after 1. Left here at 5.45 though.
 
I can never sleep there im too excited/nervous! And worried about getting there on time and everything etc etc!!

Will definetely sleep on the way home though! We usually stop off at the petrol station with the burger king on the way back from there and I run and get some food in my horse stuff covered in mud and looking crap!! whilst mum fills up!

I always take lots of food too!

But I dont eat when im riding I just have a little something on the way and dont eat all day - so like to pig out on the way home!!!

Oh poplar will def run- xc and dressage will be fine but the SJ will prob be very sticky!
We will be competing IN on sat afternoon and as we are only 40 min down the road should be a nice stress free day as long as we don't end up xc in the dark!
 
Yes but I heard the suface had been redone in the sand arena. Still going to be poop with all this rain most schools are!! But should be a bit better
 
I'm going with Liberty. Think my dressage will be about 10, which still means an early start. Lorry going to garage this Wednesday as the switch for the headlights has stopped working .....

Havent been to poplar since last september and hadn't done warm up then- it was awful, really hope its better if they have redone the surface!- Its forcasted to rain at the end of the week yuck!
