Anyone rate MH 'Rimrock' boots?

Yet another pair of boots bites the dust...

I need something:

- hardwearing for all day, every day use
- warm
- can withstand a lot of mud
- able to ride in
- easy to get on and off as I'm in and out of various places all day and there's nothing worse than wrestling with muddy boots while trying to keep hold of a toddler!
- steel toe caps ideally but willing to compromise on this as nothing seems to fit the bill completely!

Mountain Horse Rimrock boots look interesting, but a bit of an investment so I need to know - are they any good? Will they LAST?
 
Mine lasted one year, and that was only wearing three hours a day.

Not impressed at all with MH anymore.

Personally I have the magnum police boots now. Got my last pair off ebay for £5! Lasted me 6 years wearing about 3 hours a day!
 
Well I bought some Rimrocks coz the blurb said they would keep my feet warm - and they SO do. You can take them on/off really easily with velcro rip strip but they don't have protective toe. Now that WOULD be a good idea; long boots with a protective toe! MH have other tough boots you might like. I looked at the Active boot but couldn't resist the cozy inner of the Rimrox. My husband is relieved I am not moaning about cold feet any more
 
I had some Rimfrost paddock boots which were very warm but impossible to ride in as very rigid. Even after a winters use I found them very cumbersome and stiff but they were very warm.
 
I've recently bought a pair of these to use as my winter boots. Kept knackering my regular boots in the mud/puddles/snow. They are very comfy, easy to put on/take off and do keep your feet warm

I HOPE they last!
 
Not exactly the same but I bought the Rimfrosts last year. They are certainly warm but they don't half rub and the sole is very thick and wide which makes them feel unsafe for riding. So I tend to just use them for yard work (as long as I'm not doing too much walking about!). I don't think I would buy another pair.

I must say, it did take me a while to get used to riding in my Rimrocks. My normal boots are Toggi Calgarrys so am used to a bit of a chunky sole but I did find with the combination of chunky sole and fur lining of the Rimrocks with the addition of chunky socks my foot did feel weird, almost as if it wasn't in the stirrup - like I couldn't feel the stirrup at all! This only lasted a few sessions though and don't have any issue with them
