I'm thinking SEIB as heard good things about them. Just wanted to know what exactly do I need for a rising 2 yr old, I won't be taking her out of the farm for another year, maybe a walk down the lane or around the village when she's ready..

I insured my horse as a yearling with Petplan who have a band for horses at grass or resting/retired whatever but it includes in the description of this level of cover youngsters. It's very reasonably priced and was plenty cover for us. Although *touch wood* never had to make a claim yet :)

Scottish Equestrian have been fab for me-they are sister company to Petplan and ive found them to always be cheaper!

Mine are insured with KBIS from foals onwards. Very reasonable costs, if you add vet cover it's just over £200 extra a year I think. Very helpful horsey people well worth getting a quote from them.

KBIS insured Alice from 6 weeks old and when she thumped a gate post last June they were very efficient and helpful, paying the vet direct no questions asked.

They did not contact me with an exclusion on the foot/limb and the renewal is due soon so I am wondering if they will put it on at renewal ?
