I don't currently have my own horse (but should be starting a share soon) and I'm looking for somewhere to ride in the meantime. (North Essex/South Suffolk area - Chelmsford up to Sudbury, really.)

Just wondering if anyone has ridden at Stoke by Clare Equestrian Centre and what was it like? Their website says they do private lessons on their own horses. PM my if you prefer.

I thank you!

I have not been there myself, but a girl at our yard used to work there, and never had a bad word to say about the place. It is primarily a dealers yard, so I think the horses they use for lessons are the ones that come in to sell. I remember that she said at their worst some of the horses were a tad green, but that was about it. I know of a lot of people who have bought horses from there and been very, very happy with them. As I said though, I have not been there personally, only going by what I am told.

I know the lady that owns it all, and yes I think it is the horses that come in to be sold. Although pretty sure they would match you with one that suited. They are all very nice up there, and all the horses always look very nice! Go for it :D
