My cob goes well in his orbitless, but when it's been clipped on the setting nearest the nose, on occasion one side has come off, luckily at walk, I don't believe on this setting you can just put normal reins on due to the angle, are there any other more secure clips available for this. Has anyone else had this issue? I made sure the clips were the right way round I should add.

Sorry, I meant to post this in tackroom..

I got some rounded clips from I think it was the mounted pony games stall at YHL a few years back which I just attach normal reins to. I'll try find a pic of them but they're quite small clips and mobile which work quite well with the bridle.

Does anyone use a single leather rain (length at least 310 cm/122 inches) with clips on both sides or the possibility to add clips as mentioned in previous posts and if so where did you buy it?

Look into endurance reins, personally use Performance Equestrian and Pioneer Harness ones on the girls (made by the owners of both companies to my specs for same price as off the peg). Never had issues, reins can be made to measure and you can get leather look if you have leather tack. Personally not into Zilco, find it looks plasticky and is harder, making it less comfy to hold and deal with.

I didn't realise people rode with parrot clips on reins :o (Use them on harness). If the horse chews the reins won't they release it?! My welsh would love that as a game :p
