Just after some thoughts about running an unaffiliated dressage comp and what is involved insurance wise etc etc?
Anyone run an unaffiliated dressage comp before?

only with riding club -lots so insurance covered that way, so can't help on that sorry!

me and my college group ran one for our event managment assignment and was done for the air ambulance. was very succesfull. but as we hired the venue and the venue owner was our teacher i dont think we had to worry about insurance, dont know why, i dont know if it was included in the hire or not. it will be something you will have to ask the venue owner.

Why not speak to Kathleen at Durham dressage and ask her about her series. I assume so long as it doesn't step on her toes date-wise she would be able to help you. I can PM you her number if you need it.
