Have covered horses name and chip no.
Ok, a friend of mine has brought two friesian that have been imported from Holland. They came over with these passports and inside all breeding, date of birth everything is unknown. They both have a mircochip number and one is registered with the shetland pony stamboek and the other KWPN. All seems abit odd to me but i dont know anything about passports from other countries!!
Concerned as after translating the text on the front: Productschappen vee, vlees en eieren, its says ( on babelfish) Products of cattle, flesh and eggs!!!!!!!

Anyone shed any light, are they all above board?

never seen one before but i always believed that translation sites are only a guide line as changing a sentence to english is difficult and normally written in a different style

so i couldnt be more help

I think that you have been 'had'. All passports must have full details of the horse (whorls, markings etc, and if none, then a drawing of their chestnuts). Many dealers have passports'lying around'and try to match unknown horses to these horseless passports. Get your friend to contact the Friesian soc with all of the details, including microchip number and name and address of the dealer. Her new horses are worthless with passports like this

Mairi. Ps hope they arent stolen goods!

Its a dutch passport. My horse has one, her breeding is unknown. My mare's date of birth is on the passport. Also the passport must have the sketches filled in, eg showing any white markings, whorls ect. Is this filled in? if so do your friends horses match them?

Does seem strange that ones registed with shetland pony association?

I get my passport and have a look now.

My horse has one too, I couldn't contact the microchip agency as the email addresses in the passport didn't work so had to register him with a company in the uk instead. I hope this is not a con!

Weirdly, i was looking at a purebred Friesian passport earlier today, and have to say, it looks NOTHING like that at all, sorry. Were they sold as Fresians, in which case they'd need to know sire/dam and dob etc, or just friesian type?

Its a very similar colour, wording and layout to the KWPN passport I have for Ludo, except that his has the KWPN logo on it where yours has the gold logo on it. Sorry can't be more more help.

Hi, we are based in Dorset. The only markings on the sketches is where they have a small amount of white hair marked as a star, no whorls or any thing else. They are definatly friesians but have no breeding history for them. Dont know how to get in contact with them to register them in correct owners details, any ideas?
