is anyone else having problems with their mare now? we have gone from getting somewhere to what feels like back to square one regarding napping. teeth, back, saddle all checked vet been out.

In the space of a week since she has been out on the new paddock shes come into season and now shes just horrid to ride! I had stopped feeding her due to new grass but feeding her again now to get some monks pepper in her to see if this helps. I am gutted as we were going really well (even hacking out on our own which she had refused to do) now I cant even get her to go forwards in the school :( I am getting fed up with the battle now (this will be the second summer iv had her) where do I go from here? Thinking getting ovaries scanned and if no problems there I am going to have to think about selling not that anyone will want her :/ utterly frustrated and gutted :(

know the feeling! my mare is in season all year round prety much! shes a nightmare! only since she has been in decent work this last few weeks has she started behaving. she has only just started to prove herself these last few days! wont be long untill she has an eppisode through hormones! I have advertised her before as i just didnt have time for her and she was a horrible mare to be around and look after. but im glad i stuck it out with her as i think i might be getting somewhere with her.
