As title really. Been looking for a new horse for months now and I just can't seem to find one. Market seems to be full of ex racers or cobs....not looking for either. Not a cob fan, and don't want another full TB.
Looking for something between 15.2 and 16.2, aged no older than 12, mare or gelding, but must be a pleasant person, vice free, will accept some blemishes, such as small splints. Nice paces and willing to work, jump isn't important, but being able to hack alone and company is.
I don't think I am asking for the impossible am I ?

scottish equestrian advertiser is good - or scot horse... or look on RC websites :)
i found my mare on scot horse - i was also looking for a hunter stamp rather than TB or cob ;)

Thank's, I am on these sites all the time, and nothing is standing out for me, perhaps I am being too fussy? x

I have one I'm thinking of selling, but he's not a "happy hacker" type, he's an eventer / showjumper so not much use for you ;) Try the Scot Horse website, I've sold horses through it before.

I know/knew of one for sale recently that would fit your description however i *think* he is on loan with a view to buy.Ive sent an email to ask if he is sold or not.

Where abouts in scotland are you? How about checking the riding club websites? Ayr riding club def have a for sale section on their site.

Also try the scottish and northern website as loads of people i know advertise on there.

People are trying to sell, my friend's gelding has been for sale for over a year! Not what you're looking for, unfortunately :( where are you, and have you tried any (good) dealers?

Not a happy hacker, sorry should have made that clear. Mad keen on flat work, not that I claim to be any kind of dressage diva, but that's why I want good paces and a willingness to work.
Im a big believer in hacking horses for both fitness and some down time and I love hacking on my own, but we have a busy(ish) road to get to the best hacking ground. As for jumping, well you will never get me over more than BE90 and If a horse comes along with cracking paces but is the biggest pansy on earth when jumping, then I don't care if we never jump a twig.
