I am just about to purchase a piebald shetland colt to hopefully show in coloured classes as well as m&m classes. I dont really know much about the judging of coloured classes, do you own a coloured that you show and if so do you have any tips and any pictures of yours so i can get an idea of what to expect many thanks

Not great quality as picture of a picture, here is my mares daughter at a show just after i sold her on to my friend, she won the championship that day, it was her first show too, Wizard must have been about 10years old here as it was not long after i sold her, very sadly

Have a look at the coloured classes at Chertsey Show, largish 2 day show, so quite a few entries. http://www.amazingphotostore.co.uk/johnbarnesphotography/ scroll down to find them.
I was earwigging the judge as she handed out the rosettes and the comment there seemed to be to make sure you 'show off' the horses paces when you're in front of the judge both as you go round and the individual show. Particularly inhand showing, it seemed to make quite a difference. Also manners - teach your horse to stand properly and still, saw a few position movements on that.
However, as with all judging it's down to the judge at whatever show you go to..
