Been thinking about saddles recently, what with having one fixed next week and needing to sort one out for baby cob later this year. Cremdemonthe's 'rogues gallery' made for some sobering thoughts about safety, particularly how well the girth is going to stay attached to the saddle!
Overgirths used to be a common-some might say essential, piece of kit for anyone doing fast work and jumping, but I can't remember the last time I saw one. They used to all seem to be blue and red webbing with a leather strap and frequently elasticated.
Does anyone still use them? Or did they go the way of the nylon string girth?
