Sooo, I am shopping for boots, have found the premier equine ballistic boots, and the dressage leather boots...and now I can't decide which ones I should buy.

Anyone have a pair of either of these boots? How do they hold up? Do the legs stay cool?

Thank you!!!

i loveeee PE boots! i have the sport wraps and the air cooled event boots and they stay put really well and keep the legs cool in my experience! so im sure the ones your looking at will fit the bill (i like the look of the dressage boots :P)

yeah they are the ones, they are brilliant! they are quite a thick material but it is vented so keeps the legs cool, i have got a sensitive TB and most boots rub her legs raw but these dont, and i liked that they had vet recommendation and all the different supports that you dont normally get in one pair of boots. I recommend them! (and if yoour horse has big legs they have xlarge in the sale?)

love, love the sports boots - in fact have 2 pairs and since i have had mine, loads of my friends have brought them too.

they wash up really well and i use mine everytime i ride

Agree the boots are great but they arent very wide. My horse is a true MW and the largest boots end up a bit on the long side but barely meet arround his legs. If you have a TB you will be fine, otherwise go for the large for fronts and XL for hinds. They are long though.

There boots are Brill! have sets for all are's from stick legged tb to True irishx with chunky legs. Fab boots adn don't break the bank either!!

Thanks to all who answered, I really appreciate your opinions! I still haven't totally made up my mind which ones to get, but I will be ordering something from PE on Monday

Update: I TRIED to order from Premier Equine directly, but they refused to lower their £35 shipping charge (I am in Switzerland) even though the real shipping price is less than £10. So, I didn't buy them. I have instead ordered the ProTuff sports boots and shipping was £8 (which is the normal price). Dissapointed, but I think that the protuff boots will be nice too.. I hope!

I have the kevlar eventing boots (now discontinued I think and replaced with a newer version) but they are super and have lasted for absolutely ages - I stick them in the machine and they come up like brand new despite being used every day and being about 5 years old.
