My border (8 months) has woken me up with prolonged ear scratching! He was scratching yesterday and today (both ears). I have checked them and they are squeeky clean with no wax and don't smell. Today I gave them a squirt with Leo ear cleaner which I get from vets and use every couple of weeks on both dogs. He is going mad though even making himself cry

and it seems to be both ears, I have looked in them with a torch but can see nothing and checked all over for fleas. Any ideas I'm on the point of calling the out of hours vet

Panic over - since I turned on the computer, he's curled up on the sofa and gone to sleep

Could be a grass seed gone right down where you can't see it?

Although as it appears to be both ears, this is less likely. He might have a slight ear infection.

Hope he's a bit better this morning.

and OH remembered that he fell in our pond on Thursday (it's quite deep) so suspect he has a case of water in the ears

Will wait till later then put some anti-inflammatory drops in.
