I am probably being a bit thick but on this NS bit all pics show the leather curb on the top ring so how do you attach the bit to the cheek pieces.

Im thinking the reins go on the main ring and if more leverage is needed then the rein goes on the bottom ring but if used in conjunction with the curb how do you fit the cheek pieces on as the top ring isnt big enough to fit both the curb and cheek pieces.

**Hangs head in shame for being a bit dim**

Cheek pieces go onto top ring, curb strap on middle ring and I have my rein on the bottom ring. I just had to really think about that though!

I'm going to find a pic of my horse now to check!

I've got one and it's fab!
The cheek pieces go on the top rings, then the reins can either go on the large ring or like you said on the bottom ring if you want extra leverage. The curb strap will also fit on to that top ring along side the cheek pieces.
When you look at the bit you will notice an arrow engraved on one side of the end of the mouthpiece, this arrow should be on the left had side and point forwards to make sure it's lying in the mouth correctly.
See "The Action of the Universal" in the link below....(the thin lines are the reins/cheekpieces)
