I am trying to enhance a photo.

When I try to use the "rubber stamp" tool I just keep getting the message "could not use the pattern stamp as no pattern defined".

How to I define the pattern - can't find anything on the "Help" menu.

Thank you

Poss need to enlarge the stamp area or have you got the correct layer selected?

Info from OH - I have no idea what it means.

Good luck.

Do you mean the 'Pattern Stamp Tool'? (I have CS3 version so may be called differently elsewhere. If you select the tool, then right click over the picture this should bring up a selection of stamps to choose from. If you right click off the picture you can choose the colour etc.
I was once told there are at least 3 different ways to do anything in Photoshop - so am sure you'll find a differnet way to do the same thing!

Hope that helps?!

You have to hold the Ctrl (I think it is) button down and then click on the area you want to 'select' for stamping. Then you can stamp this area wherever you want.

If you are using Photoshop 6 or 7,its probably the same for CS.You have to choose a pattern from the library of patterns
which are found on the top tool bar.If you dont want a pattern and you have PS 7 the healing brush is very good for airbrush affects,it looks like a plaster, dont forget to alt cick from a source that you want and then move your cursor to where you want the new to be,and then left click.
Hope this helps.
