Have you managed to get the info? if not i can look in the morning

No, so that would be really helpful if you could. Thank you! And sorry to be a pain but there are no stockists near me (for me to look at the tub myself) and there's absolutely no detailed info online. Why on earth do TopSpec keep their specifications such a big secret? How on earth are people supposed to make an informed comparison or decision about whether to buy one of their products (or not) without knowing what they provide. Deep sigh....:(:rolleyes:

I know I can 'contact' them via their website but it annoys me that I have to do this when the details should be clearly detailed on their website!!!!! It's ridiculous. Grrrrrr

Okay, rant over. I'm just a bit frustrated as I've wasted time in buying online over the weekend because I don't know the details I need to!

Its not problem, will have a look first thing.

I have always rated TS products and one of the reps reccomended it because i wanted to cut down the calories my boy was getting in the summer. He's looking so good on it i'm going to keep him on it all year.

The only thing that i don't like is that its caramel flavoured.

Hi, Would you mind me asking why you don’t like the top spec supplement being caramel flavoured? I’m thinking of putting my horse on it and this is putting me off aswell! Is it because your horse isn’t keen on the flavour or because you don’t think caramel is good for them? I’ve just been sent the spec sheet and ingredients for the supplement and can’t see what is added for the caramel flavouring – don’t know if you know? Thinking I’ll sound completely stupid if I ask Top Spec as maybe the ingredient would just be ‘caramel flavouring’ but not sure that sounds good for a horse – maybe I’m just being too fussy but was interested to know!? Thanks x

I use it, looked into a few and settled on that one (I was taking a pony off their anti lam type pellets and wanted a suppliment) been using it on all 4 for about 8 months, pony has been out all summer fine as well. Can't remember why I settled on it but I did read up on quite a few. I pay about £80 (I think!) for a huge bucket size lol! Lasts 4 months for 4 (2 horses/2 ponies)

2 horses on our yard started to much prefer eating it when they changed it to be 'caramel' flavoured (it didn't use to be until last year when they rebranded 'Comprehensive' supplement as 'All in one' supplement.) It smells sickly sweet and a bit malty, like Horlicks? They used to leave it if it wasn't properly mixed in before but now always eat it...

Surprisingly its the first thing i have found that mine is fussy with. I had to cut the ration down for part of the summer as he wasn't eating it. He was only getting 325g (i think) in 2 handfulls of chaff and used to leave about half of it. The only thing i could think of was the balancer

Thanks everyone for the replies. Hopefully my horse will like it - but I'll probably e-mail about the ingredients for the caramel flavouring (when I'm ready to use it, got some equimins to finish first!) even if I do sound stupid and it is just 'caramel flavouring'. I got a sample with the spec sheet to try aswell but am in the process of changing my horse to a new molasses free chaff (got loads of samples to see which she prefers!) so wasn't going to try the supplement sample until deciding on the chaff. Looks like the one she's going to prefer is the dengie hi fi molasses free but something about mixing fenugreek and caramel doesn't seem quite 'right' although if my horse likes the mix that will be fine! For the composition in the top spec all in one it says: cooked maize, vitamin and mineral premix (spec listed separately with probiotic amount), mannan oligosaccharides (saf-mannan) 10,000mg/kg, MSM. But thats all it lists and none of that would make it caramel flavoured? I'm trying to cut out preservatives, artificial things etc from my horses diet so will try to find out at some point if any extra ingredients are making it caramel flavoured or just 'caramel flavouring' and if thats a natural flavouring - if all that makes sense! x

Its caramel flavoured?? My boy just wont eat it at all so i threw 2 tubs away as I kept them so long they were out of date so I couldnt even give them away...he really does prefer the cheaper equimins or spillers. Love it when people say cobs eat anything haha.
