Anyone used 6 month Program inj for cat fleas?

It works pretty well. My cat does occasionally pick up a load of fleas from some unknown source and thus need de-fleaing by normal means but generally it's very effective.

Just wondered why the vet didn't recommend it yesterday. I had to find it online and call them today to ask if they did it and book my 3 cats in when they said they did. I had one of my kittens neutered yesterday and the practice telephoned me whilst he was 'under' and said he was crawling with fleas. Something I knew, but as I've been applying Frontline Combo/Advocate/Stronghold to all my animals from 6 weeks old and for years, with some of the older ones, plus liberally using R.I.P. Household Spray around the house (x3 cans in 1 3-bed semi in past 4 months alone), vacuuming at least twice a day and washing everything I can at 60 degrees - was at a bit of a loss what more to do. I asked what else I could try and they said "nothing". They gave me Merial's number (the manufacturer of Frontline products) and asked me to call them for advice. I did, but they also confirmed there was little else I could be doing. Sooooo..... why didn't the vet suggest 'Program' if they offer it and it's freely available at their practice????? Made me wonder if there was something negative about using it.
