Hi All I'm considering splashing out £95 on one of these seat savers as I have had spinal surgery in the past and need all the help I can get on my bouncy joggy mare. Has anyone used one and what do you think to them. The reviews on the sales page are all very positive of course but wanted a non biased review.

I can't comment on that particular seat saver but have a look at the Acavallo gel out seat savers. There are lots of good reviews for them, I really like mine.

Personally, if I was OP, I'd also be charey of parting with nearly a hundred quid for something which basically doesn't have a great deal of info about on the website. I'd expect more than this rather vague description TBH, I'd need to know what it was made of, what sort of research had been done into its effectiveness - and who by!, e.g. are there any chiropractors/medical practitioners who can verify it??, etc etc.

So sorry, nope, not very impressed! Its a helluva lotta dosh to spend TBH and I for one would need to know a little more about the product.

It does, admittedly, look very nice and comfy, but my concern would be that it might interfere with the balance of the saddle (and the rider), as it looks like it might be quite built-up and solid, and it also looks like it puts you quite a way up high on the saddle, which might make the rider feel quite perched up in the way that can happen with some treeless saddles (not all!). That's just my observation from the very cursory glance I was able to give it on the website. Personally I'd be more inclined to spend that money on changing out and getting a different saddle if needs be.

Of course, as Mandy Yarnold of Endurance GB (SE) has endorsed it openly on this website, you could always get in touch with her direct via the Endurance GB website: just a thought.

I have had a Heather Moffatt soft tree saddle before and felt very perched in that so yes this seat saver may give the same feeling. Would be nice to hear from anyone who has bought one though to hear their independent view on if they make a significant difference to the rider's comfort. Not sure I believe all I read when someone endorses a product as let's face it you don't knock freebies.

Only just seen your post. I can highly recommend the Block the Shock range. My friend "saved" money buying the acavello gel and ended up buying one too and she is thrilled with it. For commercially sensitive reasons there is obviously no info on the material composition. It moulds around your shape but is not bulky, as suggested, like sitting on a comfy chair :)

I believe Mags Roxburgh has stockists that will allow you to try it our before you buy it.

The range also includes a numnah now https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YW0dlCIKiK4
