Hey all. I am just looking into surfaces for horsewalkers and wondering if anyone has used an ecogrid type product under a loose (sand) surface on a horsewalker? From what I understand loose surface is the best option for the horses' legs, but reading threads from years ago it also seems to be very high maintenance. However I was not sure if any of those then were using a loose surface with an ecogrid stabiliser underneath, or if indeed it was even around a few years ago?

I would love to hear opinions please on this type of product used with a loose surface from people who have used one. Wondering things like how good a surface they think it is for the horses, do you lose a significant amount of surface, drainage, ease of poo picking, whether the horses walk tracks/trenches too quickly, how often it needs raking, and anything else you think I should know! I'm not sure how common this product is, but thank you for any responses! :)
