Anyone used fine fettle feeds 'Happy Tummy'?

Hi - i like the idea but I couldn't get my horse to eat it so have no idea whether it works! He is a bit of a fuss pot though so i also tried it on my dog (they say can be used for dogs too) and she wouldn't go near it either! As she is a "dustbin labrador", i gave up at that point. It is basically charcoal and looks like it! Sorry....

:( I was hoping to hear miracle stories about this stuff!!! My cob is scouring because of the haylage but if I try to give him hay he refuses to eat (and for a greedy cob that's something!!) I'm currently trying NAF haylage balancer (not working 3 weeks of using it), I have some Feedmark balancer on standby to try next, I've tried Pink Powder and he's already on brewers yeast!! So I was hoping this Happy Tummy might be my last try if all else fails. Sounds like it won't be cos if he's a fussy eater I won't get it down him. :(

You could try dengie digestive health plus? Not sure it would work for this but I started giving it to a pony I purchased who windsucked and has done for most of his life judging by his teeth, two weeks of it and he has stopped completely! He also scoured quite badly on the grass and this has cleared up mostly too.

I typically ordered some before i even looked at the replys on this. Although she does seem to be eating it. i like the sound of dengie digestive health plus, might be tempted to buy some and give it a shot.

My mare had a very bad bout of colitis in August and I have been using Happy Tummy since. She recovered well and has tolerated worming, bute and antibiotics since. I have no idea if the Happy Tummy helped or not but am continuing to use it as I am delighted with the speed of her recovery and the fact that there are no further symptoms or problems. I split the dose over 3-4 feeds so have not experienced any issues with her not eating it. She can be fussy about supplements and medications in her feed but doesnt mind the Happy Tummy at all.

I also use Bio Premium protexin. Both that and the Happy Tummy were recommended and supplied by my vet although I am now buying both directly from suppliers.

happy tummy dont work for my mare ever tho she eat it well so i dont use happy tummy anymore but draeeze or sumthing like it does helps my girl.

Put a teaspoon of Soda Bicarb in half a scoop of his favourite chaff and feed it straight out the scoop. That's what keeps my mares ulcers under control. Happy tummy did not! She is an incredibly fussy eater and won't eat it if you put it in her dinner but happily eats it out my hand.

I've just started using Happy Tummy - introducing it very slowly to my fussy feeder and she is eating it happily. I am using it because she is recovering from laminitis.
Have also used it on our "windy" dogs and had an immediate beneficial effect.

One thing to consider is how much you are feeding - advice is 1-7 scoops for a horse.

I've been recommended to put my youngster on this - he is currently on box rest and has been stressy at times. Trimmer has been using it on her horses and thinks very highly of it.

My boy is on calmer chaff, supplemented with magnesium and brewers yeast. I'm wondering if the Happy Tummy is going to make much difference...

Also, how quickly do you get through it?

Yep

Ive been using it for 2 weeks now on our new cob who farted constantly and its really cut down on his windy problem, also using it on a cribber just to see if it works on her, they have no problems eating it, after all there is no smell or taste to it:)
