Anyone used these?

It’s a stud girth for dogs? If it works fair play I’d use it - I’ve had some nasty gashes to the hounds which have been a PITA to heal and have left nasty scars, so I’d probably try it :)
 
I think I will give it a try, slightly worried about her getting hung up when she is out of sight but the lady that recommended it used it on a working spaniel all last season and no problems. Tawny costs me a fortune at the vets - I would do anything to save a visit!
 
Poor Tawny, hope she’s better soon.

I could have done with one of those for big dog back in the day, would’ve saved a fortune in vets’ fees!

One day they are going to say there are too many scars for them to stitch. Love the spaniel modelling it - how embarassed is he!?

He’s positively cringing, bless him! Saying that, Bear does the same when wearing his robe!

Labs are supposed to be more sensible than springers, is she accident prone? I always thought they went round cover whereas springers go through (the same patch of entangled brambles if your dog is as determined as Bear was yesterday!)

Edit: I bought him a coat to protect his underbelly, he promptly ripped it off in the undergrowth. :rolleyes3:

Sorry CT I missed your reply. She is not a typical lab and blunders her way into any cover. Older lab, we always say, has a liver and white flag to call the spaniels when she reaches a bit of thick, but Tawny is a go it alone girl. She has already had her tail amputated after a working injury, and both stifles stitched after impaling them. That is just the big stuff.
Her new skidplate has come, and it is really good, it doesn't impede her at all and she now knows it means work so is happy to wear it.

Happy, smug and very hot! She gets so hot when working in this weather. I think they don't pant properly while sniffing? She has an ear infection too at the moment so no swimming to cool down, she can only paddle.

Still no thornit, I have it I am just undecided by the 'not letting it get in the ear canal' warning. This infection is a doozie, her ears were fine one day and swollen and red three days later.
